The normal method of creating quotes is done by generating a quote through an estimate. However, it is possible to generate what is known as a "Quick Quote" through the Quotes module directly.
Quote Details
The first step towards making a Quick Quote is to fill out the quote details, the quote details requires a "Job" and a "Client" in order to successfully complete. If neither a job or a client exists in the system both can be quickly created by clicking the corresponding buttons to the right of the "Quote Details" section.
Inventory
Select Inventory items and press the plus symbol to add them to the quick quote.
Do this by pressing the plus button next to each item.
See Quick Inventory for more information.
The number is the page number, for visual clarity online a certain number of inventory items will be displayed on the same page, at the moment there is only enough for a single page. As numbers increase there will be more pages.
Quote Builder
Each item added with the button from the Inventory section will add another line to the quote builder. From there it's simply a matter of filling out the quote, adding any necessary job or payment terms. If no inventory is listed it is also possible to manually type in in the name of the item.
Once done, click save, save and exit or save and email to complete the Quick Quote.
You can also click on the 'drag' icon to the left of each line item and change the sort order of the quoted items, this allows you to move items around and structure the quote however you like.
