We know that setting up your Inventory can be a time consuming process, whilst we do offer an Import Wizard, we have also released an 'Indicative Trade Price' which this article will cover off.
The Indicative Trade Prices are really designed to help give you a starting point for creating your own Inventory.
You'll notice that when you're creating an Estimate, there's a tab next to your own Inventory tab that has a MyConstruct logo:
This is the MyConstruct Inventory and you can use these items within your Estimate to save time having to enter them into your own Inventory, once you add a MyConstruct Inventory item, you can change the price and supplier to suit your business, this is a nice feature to add in items that you may require to finish up an estimate and designed purely to save you time.
Importing MyConstruct Cost Centres
When setting up your Cost Centres for the first time, you can speed up the process by Importing the MyConstruct Type of Work as a basis, this can be used as a helpful reference or guide to creating your own Cost Centres, once you've imported them you can re-name and sort however you like instead of having to type our all your own details.
Simply navigate to the Estimate menu then select the Manage Cost Centres option.
You will notice a MyConstruct Type of Work tab, click the tab and then you'll see the list of MyConstruct Cost Centres you can import.
Simply click on the import button, set a name and you can start to use this new type of Work.
Once the Cost Centres are imported with your new Type of Work, you can start to setup your Inventory or jump right in to creating your first estimate using the supplied MyConstruct Indicative Trade prices.
